Major Book 3 Update!

Dear Reader,
Here’s the Major Book 3 Update…you definitely don’t want to miss!
And I have to ask…are you as excited about this as I am?
I hope so!
But just in case you’ve forgotten how I felt about this Major Book 3 change, or I haven’t shared my apprehensions about it in the first place, let me preface my announcement with a short recap on how I initially approached it all. 🙂
My original thoughts and feelings…
As you may or may not already know, I wasn’t super thrilled about this suggestion and MAJOR change to my story, however, after consultation with close friends and family, I slowly warmed up to the idea and realized it was not only a good idea…it was a really great idea!
Are you ready for this?!
Now that I’m going to reveal it, I’m feeling a wee bit nervous! Ah, I do hope it thrills you to the core!
All right…
Drumroll please…
Ready for this?!
🌟 Look forward to Book 3 Part I AND Part II in 2026!!!! 🌟
Are you beyond shocked?! Was it what you expected me to share? 😱
This was definitely nothing I was expecting, nor was I even thrilled about it at all when my editor recommended the change several months ago! For me, it was definitely a MAJOR change. Split Book 3 into 2 parts?! No way! This is a trilogy. Hard and fast rule of 3!
Why did I change my mind?
The more time I spent editing and carefully rewriting some sections, the higher I watched the page count grow. Soon my 632 page book amassed 735 pages, and I’d barely waded through half of Book 3. That’s a lot of pages. And a very, very thick book, had I been exceedingly stubborn and left it that way.
Now my editor is a very wise lady. She always has amazing suggestions and recommendations, but this one just seemed so, I don’t know, disorganized to me. Too far out there? How was I to function with a Book 3 Part I AND Part II?
My editor is also a very wise woman in that she is very patient, and so, she patiently waited for me to finally come to my senses; although, I did consult a few close friends and family. Proverbs does say to seek counsel from many before making a decision; so that’s what I did. They all agreed with my editor, of course. But I didn’t mind. Eventually, I was able to see reason, and after I did, the idea of Part I and Part II just seemed to naturally fit into the whole grand scheme of things, despite all my immediate, lingering reservations. Plus, it allows me to keep you in a little more suspense by the time you reach the end of Book 3-Part I!
I know. I’m sneaky like that now that I’ve openly accepted the splitting of Book 3! Lol. 😂
But the more important question is…
What do YOU think?! Are you happy or sad about this major change to Book 3? Are you super excited about what Book 3 might hold, since it’s so much of a grand tale, it must be split into 2 parts?
Now that my secret is out…
I can tell you I’ve spent the last few weeks revamping the end to Part I and fashioning a Chapter One to Part II, as well as continuing to edit and rewrite those sections that just naturally present themselves as necessary to expound on or trim.
And since there are currently 2 parts to Book 3, I must also rework the back of the book description I spent so much time crafting. But hopefully it won’t be too much of a revamp.
What are my goals moving forward?
My current goal is to definitely get through as much as possible for Book 3 Part II. Book 3-Part I is mainly finished! I do have a bit to tweak on Chapter 3 of Part I, but my focus is mainly on Part II now, and we’re halfway through that one, my editor and I. There’ll definitely be more to come in regards to title reveal, publishing dates, and all that, in the next few months! I’m hoping by the end of this month to have a good feel for when I can actually announce a publication date for Part I!! I don’t want to disappoint, which is why I’ve been holding off for so long. In all honesty, I’d hoped that Book 3 would be in your hands this past September! But, alas, it wasn’t. So, I really don’t want to get your hopes up (or mine!) by declaring a date.
And yet, be certain that I will definitely shout it from the rooftops when I do have a date set in motion! You’ll be one of the first to know! ♥️
A special Thank You!
All that being said, I am so grateful that you are still so eagerly awaiting Book 3! I’m hoping the knowledge that you have 2 additional books to read in order to finish Finockt’s journey makes you even more excited than you were previously! For you, the Reader, it has been far too long since I last published a book, and the wait is taking its toll on me as well! I’m really excited and anxious to publish Finockt’s finale, even though it is quite bittersweet as well.
And I realize I’ve said this a time or two before, but thank you so much for your patience! I do have a great surprise/opportunity waiting for you once I get closer to the publication date of Part I! I think it will help make the long, intensive (and extensive) wait for Book 3’s arrival worth it! At least, that’s my hope! But you have to be a part of my newsletter to get in on the surprise! Sign up on my home page, if you’re interested!
Looking forward to sharing more progress with you in the coming months! ❄️
Until then…hope you enjoy your evening wherever you may be! God bless xoxo
